South African birds, plate collection

I love it when my clients have an unusual idea.

An avid bird lover, she wanted some drawn images transferred onto plates.

In this instance we chose 4 photos of her favourite birds and made sure they worked together when arranged as they eventually would be when hung up.

Really enjoyed doing these... the birds are in colour and contrast with the branches are drawn in graphite.

Pied Kingfisher, Brown Hooded Kingfisher, Woodland Kingfisher, Giant Heron

The images were then photographed and printed out, and decoupaged onto plates.

They are hand finished, their edging in white acrylic.
