Coco the Parrot

I was really pleased with how Coco's portrait turned out. 

Pity I forgot to photograph the final picture! 

*WAIL*

I do that sometimes. 

The blue pastel paper made the white feathers really stand out, 

so that was a good choice for contrast.

I loved how the blue supported the soft mauves and blues of the shadowed areas.

The thing I liked most about Coco's reference photo was that bright green apple. 

It adds interest to the picture and a fresh splash of colour, which ties in nicely with the yellow feathers.
